Salary Level: 11
Remuneration: R896,436.00 per annum (All-Inclusive Package)

Duties and Responsibilities

The Provincial Manager will be responsible for overseeing all CGE activities in the Western Cape Province. Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing strong project management and leadership across provincial programmes
  • Managing and coordinating the provincial office and CGE resources
  • Supervising and leading staff to achieve work plan objectives in consultation with HODs and stakeholders
  • Implementing CGE public awareness campaigns and programmes
  • Monitoring non-compliance with the promotion of gender equality
  • Implementing CGE programmes related to public education, policy research, and legal complaints
  • Building and maintaining strategic stakeholder relationships
  • Preparing and managing budgets for provincial programmes
  • Providing regular reports and feedback on provincial operations
  • Travelling within the province and working under pressure to meet deadlines

Minimum Requirements and Qualifications

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Matric certificate
  • A Bachelor’s Degree and a Postgraduate qualification in Management, Public Administration, Social Sciences, or an equivalent field
  • More than five (5) years’ relevant work experience
  • South African citizenship
  • Valid driver’s license and computer literacy
  • Sound knowledge of gender issues and experience working with civil society
  • Knowledge of at least one indigenous language spoken in the Western Cape (added advantage)
