Sekhukhune TVET College Launches 2025 Electrical Apprenticeship Program
Sekhukhune TVET College, in collaboration with the Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA), is inviting applications for its 2025 Electrical Apprenticeship Program. This initiative targets unemployed local youth, offering them a chance to acquire practical skills, industry experience, and accredited qualifications that can pave the way for a career in electrical and engineering fields.
Overview of the Apprenticeship Program
The program is tailored for individuals passionate about electrical work who want to develop their careers in this sector. Participants will engage in 36 months (3 years) of structured training, which blends classroom-based theory with hands-on experience in real workplace environments.

Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must satisfy at least one of the following criteria:
- Grade 12 with pure Mathematics (technical subjects are advantageous)
- NCV Level 2-4 in Electrical Infrastructure and Construction (completion of 21 subjects)
- N2–N6 in Electrical Engineering
Additional Information:
- Applicants must be under 35 years old
- Preference may be given to alumni of Sekhukhune TVET College
- All submissions must meet minimum requirements and will undergo an assessment process
- Successful candidates will sign a formal ETQA agreement and employment contract
