2. Financial Reporting and Accounting Operations

  • Prepare timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports for management, the Board, and stakeholders in accordance with IFRS.
  • Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including payments, payroll, bank reconciliations, and maintaining the general ledger.
  • Ensure compliance with NMB Bank policies, Tanzanian statutory requirements, and donor conditions.

3. Compliance and Risk Management

  • Ensure adherence to Foundation policies, procedures, and internal controls.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks across operations.
  • Implement and monitor internal control systems to safeguard assets and prevent fraud.

4. Grants Management

  • Oversee the full grants management cycle from disbursement to final reporting.
  • Conduct pre-grant financial assessments and due diligence on partner organizations.
  • Review partners’ financial reports and provide compliance guidance in line with grant agreements.

5. Audit Facilitation

  • Prepare audit schedules and documentation.
  • Support implementation of audit recommendations and corrective action plans.

Why This Finance Analyst Role at NMB Bank Plc Could Be a Smart Career Move

If you’re considering applying for the Finance Analyst (Fixed Term – 3 Years) role at NMB Bank Plc, this is not just another accounting job — it’s a strategic career move. From our experience at WikiHii, roles linked to corporate foundations like the NMB Foundation give you exposure to both high-level financial management and real social impact work. That combination is powerful for long-term growth.

First, don’t treat this like a routine application. The Foundation handles grants, donor funds, and compliance-heavy reporting. That means your CV should clearly show experience in budgeting, IFRS reporting, internal controls, and any exposure to audits. If you’ve worked with NGOs, CSR projects, or donor-funded programs, highlight that clearly. Even small experiences matter — what’s important is demonstrating accountability and attention to detail.

Second, technical skills will matter here. If you’ve used SAGE, QuickBooks, or built advanced Excel models, mention specific examples. Instead of saying “good in Excel,” say you’ve done budget variance analysis, cash flow projections, or financial modeling. Make it practical.

Also, integrity is not just a buzzword in this role — it’s central. Foundations operate under strict scrutiny, so showing ethical conduct and professionalism can set you apart.

Finally, remember this is a fixed-term contract, but in reputable institutions like NMB, performance often opens future opportunities. If you meet most of the qualifications, don’t hesitate. Apply confidently, tailor your documents properly, and submit before the deadline.
